Hello everyone – the Nigel Hayes “Tales from the Shed Part 1 EP” page – has just been updated… please click the big link below to hear it from the beautiful new Soundcloud players, and to read the MASSIVE amounts of positive feedback we got for this release!
Or you can just scroll down this page for a summary…
Click here to listen to the Tales From The Shed Part 1 EP By Nigel Hayes, his first EVER nu jazz, lounge, afrobeat, broken beat and chillout release for Intelligent Audio!
Nigel Hayes’ last outings were the critically acclaimed albums ‘….but is it art?’ and ‘It’s your move’ on Sunshine Recordings from Vienna. Both LPs incorporated complex arrangements, featuring numerous live musicians, skillfully blended with Nigel’s ear for electronica and what works equally well on the dancefloor and in more chilled environments.
After taking some time out following the albums, Nigel engaged in some remix work including going head to head with Tom Middleton on two monster remixes of Francois DuBois’ ‘Blood’ for Urban Torque – a release which became one of the biggest dancefloor rockers of 2006. He has also remixed Motivators, Funkanala and Jobu for the much respected Here and Now Recordings as well as Ibile & Ade Sose for Bitches Brew, taking Afro-Beat in a new direction.
If you want to license any Intelligent Audio tracks for ANY reason – and also if you would like to pre order this on vinyl, please contact us.
This release is IA1 – our deep tech house side – and Nigel Hayes rocks it for us here, with 4 deep house grooves – old school sound, and deliberate old school production – sure to rock any dancefloor – and they are infectious…
Have a listen and if you dig it please share this with other like minded people …
