Trademark is the collaboration of Forces of Nature member Tony Reeves and Tundra Records labelmate Loki.
Both have been writing, performing and producing music for over 12 years.
Formed in 2000, the project blends electronic studio craft with the live influence of their years playing in jazz quartet Blue Matter, with whom they recorded 3 albums.
Releases on chill-out label Cartel Records followed, as did remixes for Afro Art.
They continued their exposure through 2007/8 with 3 releases on the Bar De Lune chillout compilation series.
Trademark’s output ranges from chillout through breakbeat to deep house and even drum and bass, but always with the fusion of deep jazzy chords, rolling beats and searing synths that define their style.
Both have also pursued separate careers in sound, with Loki working as a sound designer in videogames, and Tony as a professional composer.
This year sees the pair return to their roots with some deep, tech-house grooves for the discerning clubber. Keep an ear out for that Trademark sound..

Clare Large DJing deep tech house music at Nation in Toronto. This was a pretty fun gig and it was something to do with Most Wanted Entertainment – Ronnie Ferzst and my then friend Nicole… Main room headliners here were massive – people like Donald Glaude, Luke Solomon etc, and music in the main room tended to be more progressive house, or tech house, depending who was playing. It’s mad how much the scene has changed even in a few years since then, this was one of my first tours to Canada and it was really good fun! ...

Clare Large playing deep and tech house music at Nation Nightclub, Toronto. This was a pretty fun gig, in the backroom, and I got to experiment with a bunch of music that I might not otherwise have played, since I was a lot more about techno back then! There’s this cool friend of mine, Brad, who used to drive about an hour or so from Guelph into Toronto to go to big raves back in the day, and I dragged him out to this and my other good friend Robin It’s amazing to think that I didn’t hardly use the internet back then, and...

These are another couple of shots taken of DJ Clare Large DJing techno and tech house at the Purple Room at Revolution Nightclub, Cambridge, near Toronto, Canada. This was my first tour in Canada, and the Four 01 Recordings banner in the background was from a label ran by a guy called Mattlok. It seemed to release lots of looped disco stuff with some pretty big remixers like Joeski. No idea what Mattlok is doing now so if you read this Matt – get in touch!! This was a fantastic little space with a really up for it crowd and it was a...
